Dear Tim,

Umair's talk at BRITE '09 was fascinating, and you have provided a nice summary here.

Our speaker line-up and registration is now open for the BRITE '10 conference (Mar 1-Apr 1) on brands, innovation & technology which may be of interest to you or your readers.

If you can't make it keep an eye our for videos from the conference later this spring.

Best regards,

Matt

umair is great, but he has nothing to offer in terms of changing consciousness .. which is the fundamental requirement for the systemic change he and many others see as obviously needed.

as far as i know, only yogis know how to do that, on the entire earth. and veerrrrry few will even listen.

so life itself accomplishes this, that which is not supportive of life, simply dies away.

Thanks for stopping by James! The proverb is interesting - and it does tell us about the importance of collaboration. Lots to think about in this area!

I really like this. Particularly for the collaborative way that these big ideas are being shaped. I'm a student on MA Design Studies/Applied Imagination at Central St Martins in London and a colleague recently shared this thought:

There is an African proverb which says the one who cuts a path doesn't know whether s/he is veering to the left or right, but its only those coming after/around him who can tell him//her.
